TIME CHANGE: LWJ with Anne Applebaum TOMORROW 3/4 @ 1 PT
First off: with all of the chaos in our political world today, it was such a relief to honor the best in film last night. It’s so important to continue celebrating personal and professional accomplishments during these days, maybe more than ever.
Congrats to everyone in this community who played a role in last night’s Oscars — the producers, actors, directors, publicists, agents, lawyers, stylists, make-up artists, studio execs, financiers, crew members, Academy members, and more. It was a huge night for independent film, with Sean Baker tying Walt Disney’s record for most Oscar wins in a single night. Congratulations to the entire Anora team, with a special shoutout to former intern Alex Coco, one of the film’s producers!
I’m also looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow on Lunch With Jamie, where I'll be joined by Anne Applebaum. I wanted to let you know that the time has changed, and we are now going to be live at 1 PT rather than 12 PT.
For members, you can register to join using the link at the bottom of this email. If you’re not a member but would like to join, become a paid subscriber to access this conversation as well as many other exciting ones to come.
I’m excited for the opportunity to ask Anne pressing questions such as:
What comes next after the disastrous Oval Office showdown with Zelenskyy and what is the worst-case scenario with Ukraine?
Is Elon Musk officially America’s first oligarch?
After 43 days of Trump’s second term, how would you describe the new US foreign policy?
For American citizens, what are some things we can be doing to fight back in moments like these?
This is going to be a very important one, I hope to see many of you there.
