In case you missed it, Lunch With Jamie is now available as a podcast on Apple, Spotify and Amazon. Since we were off this week, I’m re-releasing an old vault episode. And it’s a good one…with guest Senator Cory Booker.
In honor of Senator Booker’s record-breaking floor speech, this episode is a flashback to February 2022 – when things were very different. I spoke with Cory about the broken food system in our country, the impacts of childhood poverty, Russia/Ukraine, his surprising feelings about Trump, reaching across the aisle, and more. Even though the conversation is 3 years old, parts of it are still relevant as ever.
I am still in awe of his 25 hour speech. Although we have been friends for almost 20 years and I have seen him do many amazing things, I will never forget this remarkable accomplishment.
Cory is just one example of standing up to the Trump administration’s actions. Another instance of this can be seen within the judicial branch: with certain judges opposing Trump policies and pushing back to defend the rule of law.
I’m excited that my next guest on Lunch With Jamie will be Steve Vladeck, law professor and expert on the Supreme Court. The conversation will be held April 8 at 1 PT/4 ET. To join live and have the opportunity to ask Steve questions, become a paid subscriber.
